Mastercard Font is an international financial institution founded in 1966. It handles payments between merchant banks, issuing banks, consumer credit unions and consumer payment providers such as Interbank (from 1966 until 1969) and Master Charge (from 1969 until 1979), respectively. Only in 1969 was its current name officially adopted upon merging several regional banking associations such as Interbank Card Association (now Mastercard Incorporated).
Logos reveal that an organization’s primary aim is unification among various parties. MasterCard’s logo serves as an excellent illustration of this principle by connecting two financial institutions for money transfer/receipt purposes and globalization processes.
