Myriad Pro Font is a Sans-serif typeface that has humanist characteristics that was developed by Robert Slimback and Carol Twonly for Adobe systems. Myriad was designed to be an all-purpose typeface as Feldmann in his book ‘Type: The Secret Life of Letters’ reported and to have a form which could easily be extended to other weights and widths using Computer-Aided Design.
It was utilized by Apple Inc. ; Myriad replaced Apple Garamond as a corporate font of the company on the 29th of April in 2002 and was substituted by San Francisco on the 24th of January in 2017. Because of this, Myriad is clearly distinguishable from other sans-serif fonts by the shape of the letter ‘y’ with the descender or the tail which is slanted and a ‘e’ that is tilted.
