Supreme Font Supreme was founded in 1994 as an unassuming skate shop in downtown Manhattan. Since then, however, it has expanded into an expansive chain of stores dedicated to street style promotion, working closely with designers, artists, fashion photographers, skateboarders and prominent figures to promote it further. Supreme quickly found a niche of its own within youth culture as its source for growth and inspiration.
Supreme was first launched in 1994 as a small shop devoted solely to skateboarding located in downtown Manhattan. Over time, this evolved into a chain of street style shops featuring popular designs from fashion firms, artists and photographers as well as skateboarders and celebrities; eventually filling its niche within youth culture itself.
The Supreme Box logo utilizes Paul Renner’s Futura Heavy Oblique font designed by Bauer Type Foundry in 1927 for use with their black and red logo, featuring bold letters in italics with a rightward slope to achieve maximum recognition.
