Segoe UI Font family that has become widely recognized due to Microsoft. Microsoft uses Segoe in various web or printed advertising materials as well as in logos used for many products; moreover, its subfamily Segoe UI font subfamily can also be found within various Microsoft applications (like Office 2007 or Live Messenger 2009) allowing for its installation by certain applications (for instance Microsoft Live Messenger 2009 or Office 2007).
Segoe is a registered trademark owned by Microsoft Corporation; however, the typeface was initially created by Monotype. Steve Matteson created Segoe during his employment at Agfa Monotype.
