Cooper Hewitt Font is a contemporary sans serif font with characters formed by the re–shaping of geometric arches and curves. Initially, Chester Jenkins was asked by Pentagram only to refine the Polaris Condensed typeface and then he developed a whole new typeface for the Cooper Hewitt’s adaptive evolution.
”Developing this typeface specifically for Cooper Hewitt has been a real pleasure,” said Jenkins. Instead of modifying some of the Polaris designs, I created my own based on the master-stroke widths and letter thicknesses of the existing Polaris designs.
