Nike Font is an iconic American brand that controls over 60 percent of the athletic footwear market. Established in 1964 under its original name Blue Ribbon Sports to sell Onitsuka Tiger sneakers, its co-founder Phil Knight decided in 1971 to begin producing shoes under its own label under the Nike name and create his own production facility under that brand.
Nike logo features a sans-serif italic typeface similar to Futura Bold Condensed Oblique, designed in 1928 exclusively for use at Bauer Type Foundry and altered over eighteen years by Typographer Paul Renner.
