Throwup Font is a display typeface inspired by Graffiti culture specifically from “Flops” or “Bombs”. These are generally made with spray paint and valves (known as caps or fatcaps) made especially for this practice. These valves allow the paint to transition between thick and thin strokes depending on the speed and proximity with which this tool is handled.
This Graffiti style is known for its simple shapes due to the speed with which it is carried out, being commonly an illegal act.
Gaspar Muñoz takes his graffiti background and runs it through Glyphs to create this amazing playful layered and color font.
